Texas Holdem
Texas Holdem is without a doubt today's hottest game, and it takes only a minute to learn!
Every player is dealt two hole cards. These cards are private to each player and remain hidden.
The first round of betting follows.
Then the three community cards, "the flop", are dealt in the middle of the table. These cards belong to all players in the hand. Any player can use them in making a hand.
The second round of betting follows.
Then the fourth community card, "the turn", is dealt.
The third round of betting follows.
Finally, the fifth community card, "the river", is dealt and the final round of betting takes place.
After the final round of betting, at the "showdown", all players still in the hand reveal their cards. The player with the best hand wins the pot.
All hands are made by combining the two hole cards with the community cards.
Some variations of the basic game are as follows:
Five Holdem
Five Holdem has exactly the same rules as Texas Holdem with one crucial difference: the number of available seats at any table is limited to five. You can expect faster and livelier action!
1 on 1 Holdem
1 on 1 Holdem has exactly the same rules as Texas Holdem except that it is played "heads up": one on one. You can expect the fastest and liveliest games at 1 on 1 Holdem tables!
